3...2...1...

ZERO!  As in, I have zero things crossed off my rapidly growing to do list.  Things like "finish Christmas shopping for A&W;" "clean the bathrooms;" "sort out hand-me-down clothes and put away;" "bring all the craft stuff I have hauled upstairs in the past two weeks back to the craft room in the basement - oh, by the way, clean up that space, too"  and many many more.

Saturday began the Christmas festivities - my mom's side of the family assembled at my parents' house and we shared a rousing game of "steal-your-gift" and ate more food in the space of four hours than is necessary to eat in an entire weekend.

Tomorrow we will do our small Christmas exchange with A&W and myself.  Pot roast and steamed vegetables for dinner, followed, most likely, by A Muppet Christmas Carol and the opening of gifts.
Christmas Eve has been, for as long as I can remember, the time to gather with my Dad's side of the family at Gram & Gramps' house with all 15 cousins plus "hangers-on" for the spread.  If you know Gramma, you know this dinner is to die for. mmm.
Christmas Day looks like a day to lay a little low - we'll be at my parents', but there are no planned festivities, save both sets of Grandparents visiting for "lupper."
A has to work overnight Christmas Day, but when he gets back to Waterdown Boxing Day morning, it will be Veenstra Family Tradition Time - a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, juice, and LOTS of coffee, followed by more coffee while we read Luke 2 and then take turns opening stockings and the gifts under the tree.
After gifts are opened, and a little time is spent enjoying each others' company, A&W and I will round up our things, and head back to Alliston for the Stewart Family Christmas, where we're starting a new tradition this year - no big dinner (we'll save that for Thanksgiving and maybe Easter) - but loads of finger foods and just hanging out.  No formal program is adhered to, and hopefully this year the power won't go out.
Then, on the 28th, A&W and I will head back to Waterdown (again), for my parents' 25th Wedding Anniversary and a family-trip to The Keg. mmmm.

So if you don't hear from me for a bit - that's why.  We're a little busy in the next little while.
